Halloween Art Contest - Guild Wars Forums

I've done some research, both on here/wiki/guild wars main site, and so far...I haven't come up with a conclusion. Just a quick question regarding the halloween art contest. Would a short story also work in regards to it being a valid entry in the contest? There's no pictures to show with the story, as I'm no artist, and the list on the main site didn't include a story. I noticed on the halloween workshop contest, that a "literature award. 1st place, 2nd place, 3rd place" was added as an art for that contest, and it got me thinking. The reason I ask so far ahead of the actual art contest, is because I would need a bit to develop my story to a good enough point before I begin writing.

If anyone knows if a short story would be a valid Guild Wars Halloween Art Contest entry, please let me know a.s.a.p. Thanks alot

Afaik it's always been visual art. Real/Digital paintings, cosplay/clothing, sculptures, and at least one video. I don't think stories are what they're looking for, but if you're really interested you could email them. There's plenty of time for a response, even by Anet standards.

PS: I think you're getting things a bit mixed up. Prizes given out in this thread are a Guru thing. If you want to submit stories there then that's fine. In the official Anet contest they're looking primarily for the things I described in the first paragraph.
